Chris has been involved in the property industry since 1978 and brings this experience to UHL in the role of Project Research, Assessment, Feasibility, Valuation and Project Management.

As a Registered Valuer in Australia since 1984 (also Registered in New Zealand) and having operated his own Project Management firm from 1992, Chris also widened his interest in Hospitality by specialising in this field since 2002.

Chris Kogler from PHV holds a 2019 CHIA Certificate. The “Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics” (CHIA) is the leading world recognized hotel-related Hospitality and Tourism Hotel performance recognition, structured in associated with STR, AHLA (American Hotel & Lodging Association) and ICHRIE (International Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education). This recognition provides evidence of a thorough knowledge of the foundational metrics, definitions, formulas, and methodologies that are used by the hotel industry. Recipients have types of hotel industry data and to make strategic inferences based upon that analysis. Certification also confirms a comprehensive understanding of benchmarking and performance reports. After a 2 day training session, the recipients of the CHIA are required to pass an Exam and if successful receive a CHIA certificate.

Chris has operated his own businesses throughout his career and has worked for major financial institutions in conducting mortgage valuations however currently operates a non-mortgage reliance practice. This enables Chris to provide truly independent advice, free from Corporate Agency conflicts and third party considerations.
